Spirit Pillars

Spirit Pillars is a retro styled RPG based on Demon Souls and the old school Final Fantasy games.

Coming from a quiet life in a remote village on Hawkeye Island, you feel the call to adventure and decide to see what the world has to offer. Will you search for the meaning of your strange dreams, or merely see where the winds take out?

I've always wanted more menu based RPGs like the old Final Fantasty games, but found them lacking in serious challenge outside of very optional content, and really liked the interesting and experimental things Fromsoft has done in their 'souls' variety games. This project is mostly an experiment to see how well I can blend those concepts, as well as other RPG ideas I have.

Also included is a list of all the resources I used for this project. What's done so far in this demo is about a couple hours worth of content. Enough to get an idea of the basic combat styles and the leveling system.
